Yosemite's Climate

ahwahnee hotel with snowMonth by month this is what to expect in Yosemite Valley, a mountain oasis guarded from the wind by towering granite cliffs. The higher altitudes tend to be 10 to 20 degrees (F), cooler.

The Tioga Rd (Hwy 120 through the park) and the Glacier Point Rd are closed from late November, until late May or June due to expected winter conditions. Yosemite Valley remains open year-round, closing only for the occassional heavy spring flood, or wildfire.
