Fees

An entry pass good for one year is available for $20. Otherwise, people who drive a non-commercial vehicle can buy a 7 day pass for $10. Hikers, cyclists and motorcyclists can get a 7 day pass for $5, though additional motorcycle passengers pay an additional $5 each.

Members of the Oglala Sioux tribe can buy the 7 day pass at half price, but the year pass is still $20.

Annual Park Pass

As of January 1, 2007 the $50 Annual pass is no longer available. It has been replaced with the new $80 "America The Beautiful - The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Annual Pass". The Interagency Pass Program gives you access to these areas managed by the following agencies: The Forest Service, National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, and Bureau of Reclamation. Regulations

Bicycling on extablished roads and trails only. Pets allowed on roads and established campgrounds only and must be leashed. Hunting, collecting, open campfires, and off-road travel are forbidden. Backcountry campers must be at least a half-mile away from roads and trails, not visible, and leave no trace.

Fossil Hunters Beware

Digging and/or moving fossils or artifacts from their locations in the ground is prohibited by Federal law. Offenders are subject to heavy fines and possibly jail.

Hours:

Park open daily. Ben Reifel Visitor Center open daily 9-4 with extended hours in the summer. White River Visitor Center open daily from early June to late Aug.
