Typical Weather Conditions

landscape archThe climate is one of very hot summers, cold winters and very little rainfall. Even on a daily basis, temperatures may fluctuate as much as 50 degrees. Visitors should apply sunscreen and bring and drink plenty of water. Dressing layers makes it easy to adjust to varying temperatures.

Arches NP Climate History

Arches is open year-around and does not experience much rain or snow. The winter months (Dec.-Feb.) can get pretty chilly so pack accordingly. Summer months (June-Aug.) are very hot and dry.
